  • Wiz Khalifa has revealed the forthcoming concert tour dates that he is set to perform.

Prominent hip-hop artist, Wiz Khalifa has recently posted details of his multi-city concert tour which is scheduled for this summer. A tour by the name ‘The Decent Exposure Tour’ will feature Wiz Khalifa and the tour will be featuring the artist in over twenty cities across North America with the main purpose of the tour being to promote his latest studio album titled ‘Multiverse’ which he released at the end of last year.

The tour is set to commence on the ninth of July at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit, followed by a show at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto on the eleventh of the same month. He will then perform in New York at the Madison Square Garden on the fourteenth of July before moving down south and midwest. Some other memorable tour stops include the cities of Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle, Atlanta, and Miami among others. The last concert is scheduled for September 3 at the KeyBank Pavilion in Pittsburgh – The Wiz’s hometown.

The July ninth kickoff show in Detroit and the September third final show in Pittsburgh may be homecoming concerts for the rapper who was born in Minot North Dakota, but was raised in Pittsburgh from an early age. These two cities have played a significant role in Wiz Khalifa’s music and his life in general. Audiences can also look forward to some special cameo appearances and references to the two cities he is performing in during the two shows.

As indicated in the statement highlighting the classifications of performers that are expected to accompany the headlining artists, rappers such as Logic, G-Eazy, Moneybagg Yo, DJ Drama, and Cdot Honcho are also expected to perform. To have other influential rappers join Wiz on tour will ensure that his concerts are unforgettable to his fans. With regards to the lineup, there is a combination of both established hip-hop artists and new, budding ones, which will help attract fans of different ages and origins.

Besides the USA and Canada ‘Decent Exposure’ tour dates, Wiz Khalifa will also be performing at several major summer festivals across Europe this year between June and August. This is in line with the planned performances at the Open Source Festival in Croatia, the Elrow Town Festival in Spain, the Summer Well Festival in Romania, Sziget Festival in Hungary among others.

Therefore, not only people in North America will be able to witness Wiz perform live in the arena, but also fans in Europe will be able to do so this summer as well. With plans to perform at European summer festivals and with his own USA tour, the rapper is going to be quite busy on the road in the upcoming months.

The ticket price of the North American ‘Decent Exposure’ concerts beginning July 9 will differ from city to city but the median is fifty dollars to two hundred dollars per chair roughly. Some tickets are still being sold for most of the shows through the regular online ticket outlets. Still, they are likely to be popular when the tour publicity gains momentum in the subsequent months to the specific dates of the show.

In Wiz Khalifa’s own words, fans can be sure they should not miss his high energy hip hop sets in his first major tour in three years hence the need to book for a seat now. Bigger metropolitan areas such as New York, Toronto, Chicago, etc are likely to record very high demand.

After barely performing live since 2019 and not touring at all, Wiz Khalifa is eager to get back on the road and perform for the audience. Apart from his music and creating new albums, the rapper’s love has always been in performing live on stage.

The concert tour is in support of his sixth studio album ‘Multiverse’ which was released in November of the previous year. This is a new direction in style and content for Wiz Khalifa, who has primarily focused on hip-hop and rap music for his records in the past decade since his big break with ‘Black and Yellow’ in 2010-2011.

‘Multiverse’ had him exploring a more melodic pop-oriented sound on some of the tracks. It has been well received by critics and, on Metacritic, the album has a current critic score of 70 based on nine reviews. It also became number twenty-two on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart after its initial release.

Although ‘Multiverse’ saw Wiz Khalifa diversify his sound with more energetic hooks and varied songwriting, fans attending his live shows will still be able to enjoy his iconic rap bangers. Songs that will likely be sung back by the fans include “We Dem Boyz”, “Young Wild and Free”, “See You Again”, and “Black and Yellow”.

Along with the new album, Wiz Khalifa also had a featured track on the blockbuster “Top Gun: wrote about the mix of the “Maverick” soundtrack earlier this year. He also had a song called “I Think I Love U” that has been getting airplay on the radio as of the past few months. This song can also be expected to form part of the setlist of his shows because it is popular at the moment.

Therefore, Wiz Khalifa has started 2022 on a high note, and there is much more music to come. Well now this newly announced North American and European tour will have him back on the stages he loves for the next couple of months at least. Do not wait too long as tickets are bound to run out in most places for what promises to be another exciting summer concert tour for ‘Black and Yellow’ rapper Wiz Khalifa and company. It’s going to be, what we call, a ‘Decent Exposure’ event that you don’t want to be told about!
