The Killers are going on tour in 2023! The chart-topping rock band from Las Vegas has revealed over twenty-five concerts in North America and Europe in support of the album Pressure Machine released in 2021. This is good news for the fans of Brandon Flowers and company who were expecting to hear these new songs live.
The tour is scheduled to begin on May 12, 2023, in Vancouver, Canada. They will perform several gigs in Canada before their first show in the United States takes place on the 22nd of May in Seattle. From there, they have more than 20 shows booked all across America including New York, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, among others.
The North American part comes to a close with three dates in Mexico on September 1st. After a week of rest, The Killers will proceed with the European leg that continues up to September and October. Some of the main places to stop are London, Manchester, Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, and more before it ends in Italy.
Together they would like to give more than 35 concerts in different countries on this upcoming tour. Tickets are sure to sell fast as fans do not pass up a chance to sing along to hits like Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, Human, and When You Were Young. Add to this, the excitement of listening to Pressure Machine songs such as Quiet Town, Desperate Things, and Runaway Horses.
All the venues and most dates have been decided, but there are a few instances of TBA or To Be Announced. All the details about these concerts and the possibility of buying a ticket can be found on the official website and the social networks of The Killers. There are also presale offerings and V.I.P. bundles for the die-hard fans.
That said, after being forced to postpone tours in both 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Killers are clearly poised to come back with a vengeance in 2022. Their energetic shows and Shawn‘s flashing keyboard are interesting to watch for both fans who have been following the artists for years and those who have recently gotten acquainted with Brandon Flowers.
This band was formed over two decades ago and has since risen to the level of one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century. They have now reached #1 six times, sold 28 million records worldwide, and have been awarded many accolades including the BRIT Award for Best International Group. Today, songs like Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me are regarded as staples of indie rock.
But the guys from Vegas do not stop experimenting with the sound of their new creations, as evidenced by their seventh studio album entitled Pressure Machine. It is a more low-key album that is based on stories of the lead singer Brandon Flowers’ childhood in a small town. But on second thought, the songs’ lyrics are much more profound. Some of these new more emotional tracks may feature in concerts next year along with the old dance hits that the fans are familiar with.
The Killers have not toured for over three years so naturally demand is much higher than it would have been in March. I know without any doubt that these shows will be sold out as soon as the tickets are officially put on sale to the public. Some facilities are being designed and built to accommodate larger groups or people, but some venues will provide a club feel and atmosphere. Loyalists might consider VIP access on a first come, first served, an array of merchandise, and possibly a chance to personally meet the group’s members.
One thing is for sure – The Killers are back and the 2023 tour will be their triumphant return to the stage. It looks set to become one of next year’s notable rock music events regardless of the audience’s category: dedicated or occasional. Closely singing along or dancing in the crowd with thousands of strangers, fans around the globe are looking forward to seeing Brandon, Ronnie, Mark, and Dave on stage, rocking the stage with a lot of flair and attitude while performing live.
So don’t forget to cross the dates on your calendar and set the notifications because The Killers Tour 2023 is coming! Sure to be one of the big events of next year's concert calendar. Hopefully, they’ll pull out some tracks that have not been played in a while and have been created by a band that has been together for more than 20 years. However, one thing is for sure, for sure you will be humming to Mr Brightside for days after the show! There you go, it does not get any better than that.
