The Eagles are going back on tour in 2023
The Eagles are a rock band that originated from Los Angeles, California in the United States of America in the year 1971. Featuring Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, and Deacon Frey (Glenn Frey’s son), the Eagles are often considered one of the most successful bands in the history of music. Combined, they have sold more than 200 million copies of their albums and hold six Grammy Awards. Their album ‘Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975’ currently stands at a record high for American sales.
Among The Eagles' most well-known hit songs include "Hotel California," "Take it Easy," "Peaceful, Easy Feeling," "Lyin' Eyes," "Life in the Fast Lane," "One of These Nights, "Take it to the Limit," "New Kid in Town," "Heartache Tonight," "The Long Run, and more. The Eagles developed country rock-style songs even though they started in 1971. Critics and listeners praised their abilities in writing songs as well as in singing and playing musical instruments.
The Eagles broke up in 1980, and the members would not perform together for another fourteen years. The 1994 documentary film The History of the Eagles deftly shows their turbulent relationship. But time smoothed over past distinctions; in 1994 The Eagles started their trip once again. They have toured both on and off since then, and every time they perform thousands of fans who have been listening to them from day one and newbies who are just getting exposed to their music greet them.
At 67, co-founder of Eagles Glenn Frey passed away in January of 2016. According to Joe Walsh, Glenn's musical heritage and spirit still permeate Deacon when The Eagles play on stage; the band is like brothers.
The Eagles have announced that they will be back on the road with a new North American tour slated for next year, 2023, even though the "Hotel California" 2022 excursion is due to finish in the next few months. Their tour starting in 2023 will have their first performance set for February 19 in Savannah, Georgia. On March 1 and 2, they will do two straight gigs at Madison Square Garden. Other cities on the Eagles 2023 travel include Raleigh, Charlotte, Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, Tampa, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Montreal, and Toronto. The whole tour will go until April 15; after that, San Francisco is supposed to host the concluding concert.
More shows in the US and other parts of the world may be planned and scheduled again for the coming months up to the next year. Because The Eagles are still very popular these days and people are always eager to watch them perform live on stage, it would not be unimaginable for the band to add a few more dates to their calendar. Despite having emerged as one of the premiere rock bands in the world, The Eagles has continued to record record high turnouts of fans every time they go on stage for their concerts even when they released their first album almost 50 years ago.
The Eagle's concerts have been receiving a lot of praise over the years due to their great voices and excellent instrumental performance. Schmit also get their moment in the limelight singing songs they have a history with such as ‘In the City’ and ‘I Can’t Tell You Why. ’ Deacon Frey often gets a warm reception when he steps in to sing parts originally performed by his father on classics like ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ and ‘Tequila Sunrise. ’
Of course, the show stopper was ‘Hotel California’, perhaps the most loved by most Eagles fans but the original hit six-and-a-half-minute track is even more majestic live. The audience will sing along to the lyrics together with the band right up to the end of the guitar solos and the final two choruses. It has become the epitome of rock music and a song by The Eagles which they will always be associated with in popular culture. Sometimes they make slight variations to the recorded arrangement when playing live, such as lengthening some of the instrumental and ‘no lyrics’ parts of the song or swapping between Don Henley and Glenn Frey, who sang the verses on the album. And concertgoers always seem to love the extra long guitar solo that Joe Walsh likes to include on ‘Hotel California’ when performing it live.
At The Eagles concerts, the bands usually perform between 20 to 25 songs in total. Among the deeper cut and solo hits the band cycles into their current touring lineup are ‘Seven Bridges Road,’ ‘Ol’ 55,’ ‘In the City,’ ‘The Best of My Love,’ ‘Get Over It,’ ‘Walk Away,’ and ‘Life’s Been Good’ most of which fans wouldn’t necessarily anticipate to be performed during an Eagles concert hence the surprise and entertainment value.
