  • Rammstein Set To Embark On North American Stadium Tour In 2023

Industrial metallers Rammstein has revealed plans for a huge stadium tour across North America in 2023. The legendary pyros will be flying across the Atlantic in August and September to entertain people in Canada and the United States with the spectacular live show.

It is planned to begin at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal on August 21st. From there, Rammstein will travel further and burn through Canada and the northeastern United States before heading south and finishing in Mexico City in late September. To date, the band has revealed 10 North American headline shows on this tour. Still more are expected to be added in the coming months.

This will be Rammstein’s first time back on North American soil since their historic sold-out stadium tour in 2017. They have promised that this one will be even bigger and more comprehensive than that trip. The band is currently performing live shows for their fifth and latest, untitled album that was released in 2019. It is a brand new stage show complete with the all newest lighting effects, video projections, and of course a lot of pyro effects.

Rammstein is famous for providing one of the severest pyrotechnics shows in the music industry. It is a tradition for the first thirty rows of the audience to become a ‘flame zone’ in which the attendees are exposed to high levels of heat from the massive fire on stage. The show employs more than one thousand single flames and sparks, pyrotechnics, and other flammable elements that are timed flawlessly to the band’s commanding industrial metal tunes. Guitarist Richard Kruspe also sported a black leather outfit and mask during the performance of songs such as ‘Sonne’ and ‘Feuer Frei!’

In a typical performance, the band employs oversized video screens to project visions of the end of the world in harmony with the songs. Fire, flashes, smoke, and fire again, timing is impeccable as Rammstein fuels nearly two hours of German metal performance and mechanical efficiency. It is an audio-visual indulgence that is as close to sensual as it gets and one of the most bizarre concert extravaganzas in rock and roll.

Rammstein had their last shows in the United States and Canada back in 2017. This was in support of their album by the title ‘Liebe 1st fur alle da’. It was also noteworthy as the band’s first tour in North America in a decade. This they did with their entire live band performing to sold-out NFL and MLB stadiums all around the circumference of the continent. Audience reactions were brilliant with Rolling Stone dubbing it as “An Incendiary Triumph. ” The LA Times described it as a “Blazing Set Matching Mayhem to Music”. Montreal’s Bell Center now had a specific insurance clause for fire in case there was an onstage blunder. Fortunately, the pyro rig of the band remained in perfect working order after all of the adjustments that were made.

The band has announced the tour for the year 2023 and from the look at it, fans are expecting the best to be offered and the tour to elevate the band’s ability to embrace technology in their stages and concerts. When asked about what fans can expect drummer Christoph Schneider said that the best way to sum up Rammstein’s live performances is the more the better. If the previous years’ tours are anything to go by, fans in two countries will have their faces melted when the 2023 stadium show happens this summer.

Rammstein remains very daring in terms of staging and spectacle for hard rock and heavy metal. I can’t think of any other active rock band apart from some super giants like Rolling Stones or U2 who are even trying to do stadium tours as consistently as Rammstein does. Given their discography of anthemic singalong industrial metal, Rammstein can cause 60,000 plus fans to ignite per night. Their tours just keep on growing as they establish themselves as one of this generation’s most aggressive, creative, and memorable live rock bands.

The yet-unnamed tour scheduled for 2023 will feature songs that were released during the band’s 27-year existence. Rammstein has made seven acclaimed albums and thus the fans in every city can be sure that they will hear different songs as the list is impressive. Angst-ridden hits will comprise the band’s greatest hits such as “Du Hast”, “Sonne”, and their version of Depeche Mode’s “Stripped”. They cycle approximately 25 songs or more during a summer tour. Each set has enough shows with many unexpected songs and tracks that the audience cannot predict for the next gigs. The only thing that remains unchanged is the raw energy as Rammstein ignites stadiums from Montreal to Mexico City next summer.

Tickets for the newly announced August and September stadium dates go on sale on Friday 3rd march at 10 AM local time. There will also be a series of pre-sales in the days leading up to the release for fan club members and other VIPs. Since Rammstein is one of the most popular bands to this day and has a high demand for touring, these shows are predicted to sell out quickly. Fans who want to secure the best available tickets at the ticket face value should probably log in to the internet as soon as tickets go on sale later in the week.

After six years of waiting with baited breaths, Rammstein is back to take over North American stadiums and next summer will be sizzling for hard rock lovers. Prepare yourselves for the mighty Germans to return and deliver their spectacular show on the stages of the 2023 Stadium Tour. Prepare yourself for hourlong, electrifying industrial metal performances; tickets are going to be the most sought-after when they are released in the market soon. Rammstein’s firestorm is planned for the next summer August and September in two different countries. Don’t miss this show at your own risk.
