But Passenger has been rather inactive on the musical front since early 2020. He has not produced any new studio album and also there are no plans for touring. This level of rarity has left his fans wondering what has been keeping him busy and when he will be back again.

Here are a few plausible explanations why Passenger has been out of sight lately. The most conspicuous one is the COVID-19 pandemic that disrupted normal life around the globe in the year 2020. The live concert touring was one of the worst affected genres, and most artists could not perform for almost two years.

Its tone suggests that he is still writing new material even when he is not actively performing.

His last full-length was released in early 2016 as ‘Young as the Morning Old as the Sea’, however, in 2018, he disclosed that it was intended to be the second part of a trilogy that commenced with ‘Whispers’, in 2014, and was to be succeeded by the third segment.

Four years are already gone and again it is time for Passenger to release the next part of his album. Many artists follow new music releases with the announcement of a new tour. Thus, the suspicions are that when Passenger’s next album is released, tour dates should not be long in coming.
