  • Rock superstar Neil Young has officially announced a concert tour for 2023.

Canadian musician and composer Neil Young has revealed details of an ambitious concert series in North America the following year. Tentatively known as “Harvest Moon” after Young’s 1992 record, the tour will see the 77-year-old playing arenas and amphitheaters across the United States and Canada.

Starting on March 1 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the tour runs until the beginning of August with two performances at the legendary Madison Square Garden. Young already has more than thirty booked concerts, but for the next three months, there are still more to schedule.

This would be Young's sixth concert tour starting January 2019. The COVID-19 epidemic forced him to cancel a 2020 tour. But Young did visit the stage in late 2021 in conjunction with his Barn album at a few private events.

During the "Harvest Moon" tour, what are probable experiences for the fans? Based on the current setlists and, naturally, Neil's own words, it seems that this tour will highlight all of his work, not just the folk-rock tunes. Neil said in the comment that he wanted to go on this tour as a chance to "go back in time, be in the now, and look ahead."

Thus, certainly, one will probably hear classics such "Heart of Gold, "Old Man, "After the Gold Rush," and "Harvest Moon," but one will also hear rusty electric tunes from the Rust Never Sleeps albums and songs from Colorado and World Record albums. Since Neil has been reinterpreting loud 2000s albums on his current tour, some of these tracks include those from Greendale, Living with War, Fork in the Road, and Le Noise.

One thing is for sure: every time Neil Young performs on stage, any fan of his will anticipate something new. Among his techniques include altering melodies, improvising with variations while singing, and adding fresh orchestration to rework past compositions. One year will not have two concerts exactly like another.

One night the crowd may be ready for Neil to perform a solo; the next he can be joined by Promise of the Real or Crazy Horse. The guy now has approximately six decades of music in his portfolio, hence it is impossible to know what he will be singing from one night to the next.

When and where can I buy Neil Young 2023 tickets and how much will it cost me?

The tickets will go on sale to the public starting from Friday, February 17th at 10 am local time. There are also a few presales happening before that:

Presale tickets are available on Tuesday, February 14th at 10 am local time to Neil Young fan club members and Citi cardholders only. Spotify and SiriusXM users will also have an exclusive presale starting February 15th.

Tickets will be priced based on the city and the theatre, but for typical reserved seating, ticket prices will range from $50 to $150 per show. There will be floor/pit tickets as well, probably starting at $150 and then going way up based on the actual show.

Madison Square Garden is located in New York, NY. TD Garden – Boston, MA Wells Fargo Center - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Nashville Predators: Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee United Center - Chicago, IL The Forum – Los Angeles, CA
