Matthew West recently announced that he has released new dates for his up-and-coming concert tour.
With the latest music album, the contemporary Christian music artist, Matthew West has just released the dates of his next concert tour to the US. West’s upcoming tour dubbed “The Storyteller Tour” will see him singing some of his current album and other popular songs from his over a decade of music making.
The tour will start at Austin, Texas on March 1st, and end in mid-May; the tour is a series of over 20 cities in the Southern, Midwest, and East regions. Some of the most significant markets, which are included in the tour, are Nashville, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Denver, and many others.
West was still active in music in 2022 when he released his album titled “The Storyteller. ” The album focuses on the concept of the story and includes the song from the title track Storyteller and other songs such as Greater Than, Don’t Give Up on Me, and Jesus And You It will give fans a first chance to hear new songs live in concert.
“It would be great to get back on the road and play these new songs for our fans,” added West. ‘The concept of the songs is very universal and relates with people and I am looking forward to the discussions that will take place during this tour. ’
The tour is for Compassion International, a child sponsorship organization that West has worked with for several years. A percentage of ticket sales will be donated to help feed, educate, clothe, and medically treat children in need across the globe.
In the course of the concerts, West is equally renowned for sharing his own life experiences between the songs and the background of his winning songs. His song, “Hello, My Name Is” led to the “Hello, My Name Is Tour” that he did several years back where he embraced fans, received thousands of stories from them, and composed tunes based on the stories. He sometimes incorporates storytelling aspects into his concerts.
Matthew West has received many Dove Awards, Grammys, and others for his albums of pop, rock, and country-influenced music with Christian themes. He has sung with other prominent artists including famous Christian singers and with Carrie Underwood, a country singer.
The tour begins at the time when West’s single “Storyteller” is being played at all the radio stations in the country. The song lyrics highlight God's role in writing the stories of our lives: “The Creator of the universe is writing the story of the storyteller / From start to finish he is in control of the saga. ”
