  • Grouplove is an American indie rock band that began in 2009 featuring Hannah Hooper as the lead vocalist, Christian Zucconi as the guitarist and co-vocalist, Andrew Wessen as the guitarist and keyboardist, Daniel Gleason as the drummer, and Benjamin Homola as the bassist.

Originally releasing their debut EP in 2010 later on signed for Canvasback Music/Atlantic Records, this band initially became well-known after their song "Colours" was used in an iPod ad. Released in 2011, their first studio album "Never Trust a Happy Song," peaked on the Billboard 200 at number 75, hence augmenting the band's reputation. The band created excellent tunes with easy-to-learn and sing-along sounds of rock, pop, and electronic. They included outstanding choruses.

Grouplove kept touring for many years after the release of their debut album, building yet greater fame. Along with their headline tours in North America, Europe, and Australia, their tour includes visits to music events such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands. The band started to gain recognition for its vibrant shows, which let supporters dance and be happy. Among the features of Grouplove's concerts, the critics often mentioned the band's energy and the generally good atmosphere of the presentations.

September 2016 saw the release of Grouplove's third studio album, "Big Mess; this one has a somewhat darker tone than the others." Between October 2016 and June 2017, they began touring the Big Mess Tour—more than 60 events spread around the United States, Canada, and Europe—to promote the album. The band traveled the Big Mess Tour to venues including some of the largest of their careers, such as The Vic Theatre in Chicago or the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

After a brief break, Grouplove returned to the road with the Colors Tour in August 2018 as co-headliners with indie pop band The Knocks. Beginning at amphitheaters and theaters throughout America and Canada up until early October, the co-headlining tour From what Grouplove says, the Colors Tour is a "sonic and visual explosion...that will stimulate all of the senses in ways concerts rarely do." Along with certain covers in association with The Knocks, fans may expect original performances of beloved songs and melodies.

Grouplove had scheduled a tour throughout North America and Europe in 2020 and 2021 for their March 2020 album "Healer." Unfortunately, most of the Healer Tour dates have been postponed so far due to the coronavirus. Right present, the band has only eight live events scheduled for the year: Madrid's Mad Cool festival in July 2021 and seven concerts in America from August to October 2021.

Audiences will probably hear live versions of "Healer" songs like "Youth" and "Promises" mixed with other well-known songs from Grouplove's catalog during the tour rescheduled for Summer/Fall 2021. The gigs will provide the same intense, togetherness sensation that has defined Grouplove events throughout the last ten years.

Regretfully for Grouplove, the 2020 touring schedule for the band had to be canceled; yet, the band is still hopeful that once the COVID-19 epidemic is under control traveling will once again be possible, and "Healer" will be vigorously promoted. The only way the supporters may see Grouplove's emotive performances as of right now is to show attendance at one of the few events they have booked until next year.

Given Grouplove's reputation as a fantastic festival performer and their experience traveling the globe after the release of new albums, one should anticipate additional tour dates revealed when world events allow. Grouplove is confident they will be excited to play on stages close by and far when the circumstances call for it as they value interacting with their audience and live performance. Their performances have evolved into community events with songs that foster unity making every opportunity to see Grouplove live a chance not lost by their supporters.
