  • Evanescence is an American rock band that began in the year 1995 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The band is most famous for its debut album Fallen released in 2003 which includes ‘Bring Me to Life’ and ‘My Immortal’ The band later disbanded for several years but reformed in 2015 with only the lead singer Amy Lee remaining from the original lineup.

As of late 2021, Evanescence has unveiled that they are planning on going on a headlining tour in 2022 to promote The Bitter Truth, the album released in 2020. This tour aptly titled Evanescence World Tour 2022 is their first global concert tour since the group embarked on their self-titled album tour in 2011. It is expected that the tour will commence in April 2022.

The Evanescence World Tour 2022 will consist of more than thirty performances in North America and Europe, starting in April and ending in August. It starts on April 4th in Toronto, Ontario, and will also travel to other Canadian cities including Montreal and Vancouver, and American cities including Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. The band will then travel to Europe for the remaining concert in the tour which includes those to be held in the UK, Germany, Italy, and many others before the final show in Zurich, Switzerland scheduled for August 1st.

The tour received much discussion and during interviews about it, lead singer Amy Lee has shown much enthusiasm as prior tours were postponed due to COVID-19. She stated “It has taken us a long time to prepare for this moment, to finally talk about this tour and to get back to you with showing you our new music live. ”

Lee has also hinted at the fact that fans attending the concert will be treated to a selection of songs from her entire career during this tour. In addition to the songs featured in The Bitter Truth, which is their sixth studio album, the band aims to include songs from their earlier albums, Fallen and The Open Door as well as the titular songs in their self-titled album. The fans could be looking forward to the performance of some of the songs such as ‘Bring Me to Life,’ ‘Going Under,’ ‘My Immortal,’ ‘Call Me When You’re Sober’ as well as some of the latest songs like ‘Better Without You’ and ‘Use My Voice. ’

Amy Lee, who is the vocalist and pianist of the band is accompanied by Jen Majura on the lead guitar, Troy McLawhorn on the rhythm guitar, Emma Anzai on bass, and Will Hunt on the drums. In an interview with Planet Sound, Lee complimented her current band members saying “It was amazing, I’m so proud of the energy and diversity of lineup that we have now. ”"

In preparation for these more up-close-and-personal club shows combined with theatre and arena dates on this trek, Evanescence is gearing up to bring a phenomenal stage production complementing their dark, empowered music. Considering that the band is known for its dramatic and somewhat gothic rock aesthetic, fans can undoubtedly anticipate a visually elaborate and auditory extravaganza.

Like many bands, Evanescence has expressed concern over the safety of the fans for their 2022 tour. Due to the COVID pandemic, there might be some restrictions, and measures that must be taken at some concerts; however, these rules may differ depending on the country or state. Fans are encouraged to look at the tour site and the measures in place for the venue before the shows.

Evanescence fans around the world have not seen the band live for more than a year and are looking forward to the band performing again. The Evanescence World Tour 2022 will feature the band performing some of their most popular tracks including those from their upcoming album as well as classic rock songs backed by the band’s enchanting vocals and guitar riffs. Given the amount of promotion that has been done on social sites, fans would be in for fairly energetic performances each night from Amy Lee and her entourage.
