David Nail has revealed that he is planning to go on tour again in 2023.
Southern Comfort country artist, David Nail has unveiled plans to embark on an extensive tour of all the fifty states in the United States of America in 2023. Entitled ‘The Only This and That Tour 2023’, the tour is expected to see Nail performing new songs in addition to some of his previous popular tracks in over 40 cities within the next 8 months.
The tour begins on February 15 in Nashville, Tennessee, with subsequent stops in Atlanta, Raleigh, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and other cities.
Nail is expected to complete the tour on October 29th in Dallas, Texas. Tickets for the shows will be available starting December 16th, on David Nail’s official website and on other ticket-selling websites.
It is in the backdrop of Nail’s latest studio album, Only This and That which was released in September 2022. This album contains 12 new songs such as the most popular ones “Boy Like Me”, “Paris”, and “Always Gonna Be”. Based on this, fans can hope to see Nail perform the majority of these songs when he tours to support this album.
This is the sentiment expressed by Nail when making the announcement to go on tour: “I am very excited to be able to get back on the stage and perform for my wonderful fans in the US,” said Nail. “This tour will be very special for me because of the new songs and production, I can’t wait to have you all with me. ”
The 38-year-old Grammy-nominated country artist is a popular name in Nashville with hits like “Let It Rain”, “Whatever She’s Got” and “Night’s On Fire”. He has so far worked on five studio albums as well as several EPs and live albums.
The live performances by Nail are popular among country lovers with the singer easily moving between rock and pop flavors in his performance. His shows are usually solo performances where Nail plays songs with his guitar only.
The songs for the upcoming tour shows are expected to differ in each city, depending on the response Nail will receive from the audience. Nevertheless, judging by the show the Missouri native will be most likely to perform his hits such as ‘Red Light,’ as well as some of the tunes from the latest album.
Besides songs, Nail also shares with the audience anecdotes from his life or other people he met in the course of the performance. A Fan should be prepared for jokes and inspiring speeches between performances, which takes 2 hours of energetic stage activity.
Although the majority of the performances on the 46-leg tour will see Nail headline lesser-known venues with an approximate seating capacity of 2,500-3,000, he will also be playing at selected festivals and amphitheaters during the summer.
The Midwest and West Coast legs of the tour have Nail playing at amphitheaters and stadiums across cities such as Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles among others alongside other artists. The final one in October returns to the smaller indoor venues to create a more intimate atmosphere.
It is also expected that Nail’s official fan club will be allowed to purchase pre-sales and VIP packages for the upcoming tour where the tickets will be available in the next few weeks. Some of the VIPs are premium seating, VIP merchandise, backstage passes, and meet and greetings with the singer.
The supporting artists for the tour have not been named but Nail has indicated that there will be special guests to perform with him on some shows. As to the 2-hour concert spectacular, the audience is always on the lookout for exciting up-and-coming acts from emerging countries or perhaps seasoned musicians from Nashville.
As always, Nail has also committed that B-sides, favorite album tracks, and other songs that are usually not played are also going to be featured in the acoustic sets that are set to be performed during the tour. This has always been the case with every show where fans are never in for a predictable show besides the planned songs.
Considering the new songs being released and the demand from the target audience that hasn’t had a chance to see David Nail on tour since 2023, the 2023 concerts are set to be the hottest country show of the year. It is believed that tickets will be readily available once they go on sale in the later part of this month.
