The American rock band Chevelle has recently released information about their concert tour across the United States in 2023. It will start in late January and end in May with plans to perform in several large venues across the country. For the fans, who have been patiently waiting for the band to perform again, this is good news that can’t come at a better time.
The upcoming tour looks set to be one of Chevelle’s most successful in recent years. The first series of concerts encompasses more than thirty cities, but the list is planned to be expanded in the following months. To this point, the routing depicts the band traveling from the top of the East Coast of the US to the bottom and then into Texas, through the SW, and up the West Coast. If previous tours are any indication, the summer season may extend the tour to other markets and festivals.
Most notably, Chevelle will be launching their concert tour where they will be playing in cities such as New York, Atlanta, Nashville, New Orleans, Dallas Phoenix, San Francisco, and many others. They will also be playing at quite several other theaters which are relatively smaller and should offer more personal concert experiences for the fans. The variety of the venues and markets indicates that 2023 may be the year that Chevelle is trying to reach out to fans both old and new.
Since Chevelle already mapped a wide-ranging route, fans may ask if the large touring could mean new Chevelle music in the future. They have not put out an entire album since 2016’s The North Corridor and fans of the group are eager to receive the next step up in the band’s aggressive alt-metal/post-grunge style. Maybe the constant touring will push brothers Pete, Sam, and Joe Loeffler into starting to come up with ideas for Chevelle’s ninth studio album.
Meanwhile, the newly declared 2023 tour should allow fans to immerse themselves in rock hits such as “Send the Pain Below”, “The Red”, and “Face to the Floor” performed by Chevelle. To say nothing of some of the deeper album tracks and possibly a couple of new ones inserted into the set into the bargain. As anyone who has seen Chevelle live knows, the band’s shows are anything but passive, so fans would be wise to catch one of the new dates for a truly unforgettable performance.
The Chicago-bred three-piece first appeared on the scene in 1999 and incrementally garnered an impassioned fan base for their music which features heavy guitars, moody timbres, and intelligent lyrics. In their sophomore album, Chevelle has already proven that they could have their double platinum albums and still be an interesting band to watch after 23 years in the music industry. Most of this could go down to their ability and willingness to tour year in, and year out.
Thus for fans who have been eagerly waiting for the last few years for another series of performances, the information about a large-scale tour in 2023 should be really good news. Given that Chevelle already has over 30 shows planned and more shows are expected to be added, fans across the country should have ample chances to see the group back doing what they do best – bring passionate, precise rock & roll to their town.
