Cher is a music legend who has been gracing the stages for more than half a century. She is 75 years old and she still performs with such vigor and energy and she does not intend to stop anytime soon. Cher has been in the limelight for several years, and her performances are characterized by glamorous outfits, stunning choreography, and the vocalist’s incredible voice.
Following her sabbatical from touring for a few years, Cher embarked on touring again in 2018. The tour was called ‘Here We Go Again Tour’ and fans could expect an extravagant Las Vegas type of concert with some of the most popular Cher songs. It began in September 2018 and covered more than 50 cities in North America and Europe. It shut down in December of 2019 after over 200 performances.
Some popular songs performed at the ‘Here We Go Again Tour’ concerts included ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’, ‘Belief’, ‘I Got You Babe and many others. The transformation of Cher was more pronounced in that she came on stage in revealing and flashy costumes accompanied by dancers. Some of the features of the show were many costume changes, short film and television clips, and even an elephant on a trolley. Audience feedback embraced the spectacular visuals and the singer’s voice that does not betray her age.
Cher made an implication in late 2019 that she was willing to go back to the stage again for more concert performances. However, like any other live event, Cher was forced to halt his plan due to the COVID-19 pandemic that engulfed the world in 2020. Every artist was rendered roadmaps for approximately two years.
Last but not least, with the easing of pandemic protocols in 2022, Cher was quick to schedule another string of performances for her audience. These performances are a follow-up to the hugely popular Cher Here We Go Again Tour that took place in 2018-2019. The new and exclusive 2022 leg started in Pittsburgh on September 9 and ended in San Francisco on October 19.
So what is in store for audiences in Cher’s current tour? From the setlists and reviews of the recent shows and the few adjustments and additional costumes mentioned in the press release, it seems that the ‘Here We Go Again Tour 2. 0’ is a show very similar to what was seen in 2019, with the glitz and the party vibes intact. This means that concertgoers are sure to wine and waltz the night away to classics such as ‘Strong Enough’, ‘The Beat Goes On’ and ‘Take Me Home’. The 2022 run also brought back the giant, animatronic elephant prop used in the first time around.
Thus, in November 2022, after her Fall US tour was over, Cher shocked her fans with the information that she decided to continue the ‘Here We Go Again Tour’ and called the new part of the tour ‘Cher in Concert’. Staged in 33 cities, the 2023 leg is set to commence in late February and end in July. As expected, these new concerts will again be filled with a journey of spectacular Cher moments, emotional hits, Bob Mackie costume designs and of course Cher’s humor.
Some key Cher 'Here We Go Again 2023 Tour' dates are: It was on February 26th in the city of San Antonio, Texas. On the 8th and 9th of March at Madison Square Garden in New York March 24-25th at The O2 Arena in London April 26th in Cleveland, Ohio On May 14th, in St. Louis, Missouri June 9 and 10th at Toronto, Ontario
The run for the year 2023 is expected to end in Kansas City, on the 19th of July. Tickets for all the shows as well as VIP packages are currently available for purchase. Cher’s previous performances have been nothing short of spectacular and fans can expect the same during her current world tour. Even at 75 years old, the Goddess of Pop can still charm the crowds with her singing prowess and performance energy to entertain stadium-sized crowds.
Therefore for those planning to see the fabulous Cher on what might be one of her last big concert tours the set schedule of the tour is now as far as mid-2023. Indeed, the singer, who performed at halftime of Super Bowl 2023, has recently suggested that more shows could be in the pipeline apart from the summer stadium & arena dates that have just been unveiled. Please wait for further information regarding more Cher concert schedule that might be released in the future. One thing is for certain and that is she will not be halting her farewell tour anytime shortly!
