Anderson East Reveals New Concert Schedule
Anderson East, the American R&B and soul singer, is yet to release a new album but he is already planning for his next concert tour in North America. The tour dubbed “Maybe We Never Die” will commence in April 2023 and will go on until August, with dates in New York, Chicago, Nashville, and Los Angeles, among others.
Who is Anderson East?
To the unfamiliar, Anderson East is an Alabama native singer/songwriter specializing in soul and R&B music with a vintage appeal. Comparing the artists to Otis Redding and Van Morrison, East provided fresh old-school blues and gospel in contemporary music. He first came into the limelight when he released his debut album in the year 2015 titled “Delilah”, the album featured the song “Satisfy Me”. His second album, Encore, was released in 2017 and got him a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album in 2018.
East has worked with many prominent artists like Ed Sheeran and Chris Stapleton. He also contributed to penning down the song “All I Ever Need” for country singer Brothers Osborne for which he got his first CMA Awards nomination. East’s soulful lyrics, powerful voice, and dynamic stage presence have created anticipation for the concerts among his target audience, ready to see him on tour later on.
What to Expect on the “Maybe We Never Die” Tour?
From this announcement, the “Maybe We Never Die” tour will back East’s third studio album of the same name which is scheduled for release on March 31, 2023. As with the other records, “Maybe We Never Die” features East’s classic 1980s-inspired vibe with blues and soul influences in the tunes about love and intimacy. This means that fans will be able to catch the full live rendition of the album each time the band performs.
There will also be older hits like “King for a Day”, “All On My Mind” and “Girlfriend” in the list of songs that will be performed. East’s sets are described as including different styles including country, R&B, rock, and gospel – with his trademark raspy, soulful vocals. Extended guitar solos are also present, as well as a candid look at the creation process of songs between tracks from the East.
Every city will definitely witness a different, spectacular performance due to the addition of the incredible eight-piece band to East for each show. Their enthusiasm and rapport with one another carry excitement and fun to every place they take the stage. No matter if an artist is performing an acoustic ballad or a fun soul-rocker, he can get in touch with people and share his emotions and thoughts through words. It will make the fans feel like they are transported back to the age of live rhythm and blues music.
