Formed in 1994, indie rap band from Placentia, CA,
Kottonmouth Kings have ended up being an effective force in the underground rap

The artists explain their style as "psychedelic hip-hop punk rock". The band makes up former Humble Gods frontman Brad Daddy X, rappers DJ Bobby B, Saint Canine, D-Loc, and Pakelika. Kottonmouth Kings initially drew in attention with their "Suburban Life" track. It appeared on the soundtrack from the movie Scream 2 and quickly became a brand-new rock radio hit. After taping an EP, entitled "Stoners Reeking Havoc", by themselves label in 1998, the band launched the full-length Royal Highness on Capitol. Kottonmouth Kings' 2004 release, titled "Fire It Up", came out in April 2004.
